Born and raised in New York City. Attended/graduated Stuyvesant High School, studying creative writing with Frank McCourt. Later studied under Uta Hagen, Herbert Berghof, Austin Pendleton, Victor Garber, William Hickey, Anna Sokolow and The Groundlings. Collaborated with his father, Juki Arkin, on performance pieces and choreography. Worked as a Studio Guide at Universal Studios Hollywood and performed in several shows ("Waterworld," "The Chipmunks Adventure," "Small Soldiers," "Halloween Horror Nights") and played several characters. Acted in and directed dozens of Shakespearean plays. Graduate of Columbia University (Phi Theta Kappa, Lit/Writing, concentration in Psychology) and University of Southern California (Cinematic Arts Production; Specialized Arts Journalism). Directed/wrote/produced/designed several short films, including "The Windigo." Member of Theta Chi Fraternity. |
