    Actor Bio
    Matthew James Gulbranson has been with the Screen Actors' Guild since 1995. He was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the second of four sons to Darryl and Mary Gulbranson - both college professors. Matt was named 1st Team All State in Basketball and graduated from Fairmount High School fourth in his class.
     
    Matt graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, where he played wide receiver on Brigade championship football team and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Russian language. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Military Police Corps and was eventually promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.
     
    Matt served as platoon leader in the 9th Military Police Company at Fort Lewis, Washington and deployed to Saudi Arabia as the Law and Order Operations Officer during operation Desert Storm where he later served as Deputy Provost Marshall for General Pagonis.
     
    After Desert Storm, he attended the Military Police Officer Advanced Course at Fort McClellan, Alabama; served as Training Brigade Adjutant and Commander of Company A, 701st Military Police Battalion Company.
     
    Matt served as the Deputy Adjutant with the 311th Corps Support Command in West Los Angeles, California, and worked and as the Full Time Support Chief for the 63d Regional Support Command, in Los Alamitos, California.
     
    A soldier statesman, he served as a Deputy Site Commander with the On-Site Inspection Agency, where he enforced U.S. treaty rights in Votkinsk, Russia, and was the Chief, Office of Defense Cooperation, at the U.S. Embassy in Moldova. He served as the liaison officer between the Russian Airborne Brigade and US Stabilization Forces Commander and was the U.S. Army Attache in Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia.
     
    At the Pentagon joint staff, he was responsible for analyzing nuclear weapons programs world-wide.
     
    Matthew James Gulbranson resides in Southern California.
