      Actor Bio
Tara fell in love with acting at a very young age.

Born in Tehran, Iran, she and her family moved to England after the Iranian Revolution in 1979. Even before having a firm grasp of the English language, Tara's natural storytelling ability was entertaining her young classmates. She eventually rallied them to take part in a play in which she also directed herself. With broken English and a strong will and passion to entertain, Tara and her troupe forged ahead with the production of her first play, CInderella.

The audiences' unmitigated approval, and her sheer enjoyment of the craft, set her on her course, cementing her decision to pursue acting as a career.

Within a few years, Tara and her family were on the move again, this time to the United States. After high school graduation, Tara studied Acting with Buddy Ashbrook, the head of the theater department at Palomar College. After two years she transferred to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena. Tara felt right at home with the rigorous daily curriculum of acting, dancing, stage movement and voice instructions. She strengthened her acting core with the classics, excelling especially in the Styles course which focused on Shakespeare.

After completing American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Tara studied various other styles of acting both in England and the United States. She trained with George Shdanoff, co-director of the Chekhov Theatre and studied Improv at the Groudlings Theatre. Her Scene Study work and Cold Reading Techniques were with Doug Warhit, and Image Development and Acting with Sam Christensen. Tara acquired an abundantly well-rounded understanding of her craft.

After taking some time off to care for her ill father, and helping raise her nephew, Tara has reemerged with even more determination and gusto. She has written, produced and starred in two short films that were both directed by Parish Rahbar, her creative and business partner at Renovatio Movies, their motion picture production company. Tara currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Joe, and kitty Lulu.
